HD-DVD & DVD Combo! Both Standard and HD-DVD versions on one disc! It is the 23rd century. The crash of the Colossal Freeport into the Earth surface, and the ensuing Great Calamity, has made life on the home planet unviable. The survivors have taken refuge on the moon, where they established the Lunar Republic of Eden, a model of peace and stability. At least, that is what Takeru and Biz learned in their textbooks. After a 380,000 kilometers catapulting across space, they are now experiencing Earth first hand, and can hardly believe what they see. A beautiful sky stretches across a vast expanse of desert inhabited by peculiar earth creatures, and even a few humans, hardy survivors of the Great Calamity. They also find AO, the girl in the mysterious photo Takeru found on the moon. Now, standing face to face with the girl he has longed for, Takeru announces proudly, - I came here to see you! - Ao shows Takeru and Biz her village, where people follow their dreams despite trying circumstances. The village is bustling as preparations are made for the launch of a towering rocket at the upcoming annual rocket festival. For the villagers, who understand and the harshness of nature all too well, the launching of their own rocket into the night sky is the ultimate testament to their will to live. The rocket festival also pays homage to village mythology, which states that -Freedom, that vestige of the golden orb above, shall bless us with fertility, prosperity, truth, and wisdom. - Meanwhile, Biz pays a visit to Anna Marie, the radio disc jockey who kept hope alive for the lunar duo during their cross country trip across America. He tells her that it was her voice that kept him going, and offers her the tricycle LTV Console as a token of his appreciation. But the moment he does, the console alarm signal blares, warning them of a sudden decrease in air pressure and a fast approaching hurricane! How will Takeru fare against the pitch-black clouds and raging rainstorm, and what is the true secret of Freedom? Witness the young lunar fugitives in their struggle against the perils of the homeworld in this coming of age sci-fi adventure!
